Caterwauling Cory
Cory has been very noisy lately. He meows and meows and meows and we're not sure what he wants. He has his basic needs - food, water, toilet, toys. And yet he meows and meows and meows, alternating between "rrrreow" and "wa-wau, wa-wau, wa-wau" in varying decibles. Perhaps he wants human company because when we're in the quarantine room, he pretty much shuts up, bar the occasional muted episode. Will you believe that he can go "wa-wau" with his mouth closed and end up sounding like "mm-mmm"? Strange cat.
Perhaps he's uncomfortably constipating. After all he is into his fifth week of antibiotics and these meds can wreck havoc on one's digestion system. The vet's recommended cooking oil as a 'natural' help because we were reluctant to add another variety of pharmaceutics to his repertoire. Well, I don't blame him for rejecting his dry cat foot doused with canola oil. It seems pretty disgusting to me too so I'm giving him yogurt. He ate some sprinkled with his favourite Friskies (our cats have base tastes in food, thank goodness) yesterday. And I've hit on the idea of mixing in the cooking oil with wet cat food. We hope the combined effects will help ease his bowels..
